What You'll Learn
Our 1 day workshops take you from beginner to having made your first project, such as a tote bag, apron, christmas stocking…
Multi week courses will teach you the ins and outs of sewing whilst making a larger project such as garments you’ll be proud to wear. You’ll go from learning about sewing machines, stitch types, fabric basics to using patterns, tailoring and fitting your own garments.
Where are we?
We share the Paint Splice Studio located at Level 2, 494 Botany Road Alexandria NSW 2015, above the store “The Remnant Warehouse”.
Just 10 minutes drive (or uber) from the city, with green square train station a short walk, and busses to central and redfern at our doorstep.
Have Questions?
Do I need a sewing machine?!
Not at all- We have standard sewing machines for you to use in class, however if you have your own we encourage you to bring it along and learn how to use it!
What Should I Bring?
Most of our classes include all materials required, but you are welcome to bring some funky fabric if you want. Snacks and drinks are allowed also.
But I’ve Never Sewn before
Perfect! Most of our classes are designed for novice to intermediate sewists and don’t require any prior knowledge. Just stay clear of our ‘advanced’ section (for now anyway)
